Yvonne Jordan, Hospitality Chairman
Yvonne Jordan embodies the spirit of community and fellowship at Saint James Episcopal Church, serving with passion as the Hospitality Chairman. Her vision is to forge stronger bonds within our congregation through social gatherings, meals, and special events, fostering an atmosphere where members can openly share stories and reflections. Yvonne believes these moments of connection are vital for nurturing our Christian values and building enduring relationships, especially important as we grow and evolve as a congregation.
From the inaugural reopening of Saint James, Yvonne has been an instrumental force, volunteering her time and expertise with attention to the renovation of the St. James Event Center and its commercial kitchen. Her commitment extends to serving as the temporary Event Center Manager, ensuring the space reaches its full potential for community engagement. Her roles further include managing the hospitality team, providing congregants with appetizers and beverages after the 10 o'clock Sunday services, and coordinating all food-related church events.
Yvonne and her husband, Dave, have two sons. Mike, daughter-in-law Starr, and grandchildren Camden and Cooper on James Island, and youngest son Matt, daughter-in-law Holly, and grandchildren Jack and Chloe from Fisher, Indiana.
Beyond her church activities, Yvonne is involved in the local community as an active member of several garden clubs. She is also studying to join The Daughters of the King organization.
