Marilyn Reeves, Vestry Member

Marilyn Reeves serves as a dedicated member of the vestry at Saint James Episcopal Church, bringing a passion for church growth and community engagement. With a heart set on seeing the church flourish, she advocates for initiatives that draw in families and young children, strengthening the foundation of the church family.

Marilyn would love to see the event center be a hub of activity, fostering paid events that enrich the church community and generate sustainable revenue. Her goal is to enable the hiring of an event coordinator to enhance Saint James’s outreach and service further.

Her involvement at Saint James extends beyond strategic planning; she actively participates in the spiritual life of the congregation through lay reading and as a chalice server. Marilyn's service is a testament to her commitment to the church’s values and her desire to contribute.

Marilyn has grown children and a grandchild that is set to attend Camp St. Christopher this summer!

Marilyn is a lover of the outdoors and can be found navigating the waterways of the Lowcountry in their boat or curled up with a good book. Additionally, Marilyn is a member of the St. James Croquet Club, where she indulges in friendly competition and fellowship on the church grounds.

Through her many roles and interests, Marilyn embodies the spirit of community and faith that is central to Saint James, inspiring others with her dedication.
